| Rigging the boats at Lee's Ferry. These are 18-foot self-bailing rafts that will carry four people each, plus all the gear and food needed for the entire trip — there is no resupply in the Grand Canyon!
Because this trip was put together in such a short time, we rented much of the gear from PRO (Professional River Outfitters). They also provided a complete menu — huge timesaver and quite good — and provided a shuttle. Each person was only responsible for personal gear and booze. |
